Which Lake Havasu boat tour or excursion is right for me?
Choose based on the time and type of experience you prefer. Select the 3-hour Sunset Experience or 90-minute Sunset Copper Canyon Island Tour for a sunset cruise. Daytime choices include the 60-minute Copper Canyon Tour, 2-hour Lighthouse Tour, and 4-hour Topock Gorge Experience with picnic lunch served on board.
What type of boats do you use?
Serenity Now is our one-of-a-kind custom pontoon vessel, designed for scenic excursions where the scenery is the show and passengers experience Lake Havasu in comfort & style. Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser is our custom covered, open-air pontoon vessel, designed for narrated tours that let passengers explore Lake Havasu in comfort & style.
Where do your Lake Havasu boat tours and excursions depart from?
Passengers first check in and pick up boarding tickets at our Ticket Booth in the London Bridge English Village at the foot of the stairs of the London Bridge at London Bridge Resort. All boat tours and excursions depart nearby from the London Bridge Resort Executive Dock.
Do your Lake Havasu boat tours and excursions include live narration?
Yes. Our Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser boat tours feature live, professional narration. Serenity Now excursions blend live narration, music, scenery, and a more relaxed pace. Depending on the route, stories may include the London Bridge, Lake Havasu City, Copper Canyon, Topock Gorge, replica lighthouses, mining, wildlife, and Colorado River history.
Which tour or excursion is best for a sunset cruise?
Choose Sunset Experience for Lake Havasu’s Original Sunset Cruise aboard Serenity Now, a 3-hour signature excursion featuring Copper Canyon at sunset, Sleeping Indian, stargazing, and the seasonal Aurora Lightshow. Choose the 90-minute Sunset Copper Canyon Island Tour for Copper Canyon, island views, sunset colors, city lights, and the London Bridge lit up on the return.
Which Lake Havasu boat tours and excursions go to Copper Canyon?
Copper Canyon is included in four offerings. Choose Copper Canyon Tour for a focused narrated visit, Sunset Copper Canyon Island Tour for sunset and island views, Lighthouse Tour for lighthouses plus Copper Canyon, or Sunset Experience for Copper Canyon at sunset.
Do you offer a Topock Gorge boat tour?
Yes. The 4-hour Topock Gorge Experience aboard Serenity Now travels through Havasu National Wildlife Refuge into the mini Grand Canyon of the lower Colorado River. It includes canyon scenery, Picture Rock and petroglyphs, wildlife when nature allows, music, a beach or cove stop, and picnic lunch served on board.
Do you offer a Lake Havasu lighthouse tour?
Yes. The 2-hour Lighthouse Tour aboard Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser shares 18 of Lake Havasu’s 28 working miniature replica lighthouses, including their original locations and brief history. The route also includes Copper Canyon, Pilot Rock, Lake Havasu City history, the London Bridge story, music, and scenic lake views.
Do you offer private charters?
Yes. Private charters are available aboard Serenity Now and Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser for groups, celebrations, and special occasions. Options vary by vessel, group size, season, and availability. Call our Reservations Department at 928-716-8687 to discuss private charter options.
When do your Lake Havasu boat tours and excursions operate?
Sunset Charter & Tour Co. operates year-round and offers boat tours and excursions daily. Regular tours are not offered on Memorial Day or Labor Day weekends because of heavy lake traffic. We are closed on Easter, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Current schedules are shown on our Book Now page.
How do I make a reservation?
Reserve online through our Book Now page, call our Reservations Department at 928-716-8687, or visit our Ticket Booth in the London Bridge English Village.
Should I reserve in advance?
Yes. Advance reservations are recommended because vessel capacity is limited, especially for sunset cruises, seasonal tours, and special events. Same-day availability may be limited.
Do I need to create a customer account to book online?
No. A customer account is optional. It allows you to manage reservations in one place and may save time when booking again.
What does waitlist mean?
Waitlist means the selected tour or excursion is currently full. You are not booked unless seats become available and you complete the reservation. If space opens, you may be notified by text and email. We also recommend checking the Book Now page for other available options.
Do your boat tours and excursions require a minimum number of passengers?
Some departures require a minimum number of passengers. Minimums are usually met through multiple reservations and are rarely an issue. If a departure cannot operate, we will contact you with options to move to another tour or excursion, reschedule, or receive a refund.
When is payment due?
Online reservations and Ticket Booth purchases are paid at the time of booking. Phone reservations require a credit card to secure the reservation, with payment due at check-in.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel. Reservations cancelled at least 24 hours before departure are eligible for a refund. All online reservations and Ticket Booth purchases are subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged the full amount.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is always our first and foremost concern. Our captains monitor weather and lake conditions daily. If conditions are unsafe or unfavorable, we may cancel the tour or excursion. We will help you reschedule or provide a full refund if another departure is not possible.
Where do I check in for my tour or excursion?
Check in at our Ticket Booth in the London Bridge English Village at the foot of the stairs of the London Bridge at London Bridge Resort. Passengers must pick up boarding tickets before
proceeding to the dock.
Where do we board the vessels?
After check-in, passengers board at the London Bridge Resort Executive Dock near our Ticket Booth in the London Bridge English Village.
How early should I arrive before departure?
Please check in no later than 15 minutes before departure. Allow extra time for parking and walking to the Ticket Booth, as late arrivals may miss the boat tour or excursion.
Is there parking near your location?
Free parking is available in the London Bridge English Village parking lot. Use 422 English Village for parking GPS, then walk to our Ticket Booth at the foot of the stairs of the London Bridge.
Is shuttle, Uber, or Lyft service available?
Yes. Local shuttle services, Uber, and Lyft serve Lake Havasu City. Allow enough time to arrive and complete check-in at least 15 minutes before departure.
How many passengers do your vessels accommodate?
Our smaller passenger capacities create a more personal and comfortable experience. Serenity Now accommodates up to 6 passengers, while Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser accommodates up to 18 passengers.
Are your vessels covered?
Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser is covered and open-air. Serenity Now’s top is used during warmer weather daytime excursions. For evening excursions, the top is taken down to provide unobstructed views of the sunset and stargazing.
Are there restrooms on board your vessels?
Serenity Now has a restroom on board. Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser does not, but restrooms are available near the dock before departure and immediately upon return. If absolutely necessary,
accommodations can be made for a restroom stop while out, but there is not a scheduled restroom stop.
How fast do your vessels travel?
After leaving the slow zones, our vessels generally cruise at a comfortable speed of about 17 mph.
Is Sunset Charter & Tour Co. a USCG inspected and regulated boat tour company?
Yes. Sunset Charter & Tour Co. is a USCG inspected and regulated boat tour company. Our company follows all USCG rules and safety requirements.
Are your captains USCG licensed?
Yes. Our captains are USCG licensed, and the majority hold 100-ton Master credentials.
Are life jackets on board your vessels?
Yes. Life jackets are carried on board for every passenger for emergency use.
Are children required to wear life jackets on board?
Yes. Arizona law requires children 12 years and younger to wear a life jacket while the vessel is underway. Child life jackets are provided and fitted before departure.
Are your boat tours and excursions suitable for small children?
Yes. Children are welcome on our boat tours and excursions. Young children often do best on the shorter, covered Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser tours. A carrier is recommended for infants to help keep them comfortable and secure while underway.
What should I wear on the boat tours and excursions?
Dress comfortably for the season. In cooler months, wear layers and bring a light jacket. In warmer weather, choose casual clothing and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
What seasonal comforts are provided on board?
Warm, heavy blankets are provided during cooler months, and cool towels are provided during warmer weather.
Can we bring food and beverages on board?
Yes. Complimentary bottled water is provided on all boat tours and excursions. Passengers may bring beverages, including alcohol, a small cooler, and light snacks. Please avoid stemware. The Topock Gorge Experience includes a picnic lunch served on board.
Are your vessels accessible for passengers with disabilities?
Serenity Now is wheelchair accessible. Kon Tiki Canyon Cruiser can accommodate a small travel wheelchair up to 30 inches wide, and assistance items may be stored and locked on our dock. We have ramps to our docks, and our vessels are level with the dock for easier boarding.
Do you allow pets or service animals on board?
Pets are not permitted. Only ADA-recognized service animals are allowed on our vessels.
Can we swim during the boat tours and excursions?
Yes. Swimming is available during the lunch stop on the Topock Gorge Experience and on private charters. Passengers who plan to swim should bring their own towels.
